Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC announced the start of accepting applications for subsidizing a portion of insurance premiums for voluntary insurance contracts in the agro-industrial complex. The program, which began on April 16, 2026, aims to reduce the financial risks of agricultural producers, according to APK News.
This program provides support to farmers insuring against production risks in crop and livestock production. Under the current mechanism, the state reimburses up to 80% of the insurance premium, while farmers bear only 20% of the costs. This model, according to the corporation, is designed to increase the availability of insurance and encourage its use in the industry.
Agricultural producers can insure spring crops against excess soil moisture, perennial plantings, particularly apple orchards, as well as farm animals, including cattle, sheep and goats, horses, pigs, and poultry.
Application deadlines depend on the type of insurance. For example, applications for spring crop insurance against excess moisture will be accepted until June 30, 2026, and for perennial crop insurance until October 31, 2026.
Applications are submitted online through the agricultural insurance information system hosted on the Kezekte.kz platform.
The program is expected to improve the sustainability of agricultural production and reduce the impact of adverse natural factors on the financial performance of agricultural enterprises.
