According to the statistical forecast, humid conditions are expected to be close to normal in a large area of Kazakhstan during May. Moderate drought is expected in four areas. This is stated in the forecast of Kazhydromet for May.

In particular, moderate drought is expected:

• in Aitekebi and Khromtau districts of Aktobe region;
• in Zhangildinskiy district of Kostanay region;
• in the Kazalinsky district of the Kyzylorda region;
• in the Mangistau district of the Mangistau region.

"Moderately humid conditions of moistening will develop mainly in the West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions, as well as in the south of Almaty and Zhambyl regions," forecasters say.
