Flaxseed export prices have risen in Kazakhstan. Further price increases are forecast, according to APK News.
According to Yevgeny Karabanov, Head of the Analytical Committee of the Kazakhstan Grain Union, the domestic EXW price remained unchanged from March 16 to 22 at 230,000-240,000 tenge per ton, or $477-497.
Meanwhile, the FCA Kazakhstan export price increased by $5 per ton to $515-520.
The price of Kazakh brown flax on DAP Poland terms increased by EUR 10 to EUR 550-555.
The price of Kazakh flax on C&F ARAG terms increased by $10 to $710, with shipment in April.
The price of Kazakh flax on DAP Dostyk/Altynkol terms increased by $15 to $560-565.
"The flaxseed market continued to grow. The main reason is the rise in global prices for the entire vegetable oil segment, driven by rising oil prices. Paradoxically, rapeseed oil is now more expensive than flaxseed oil. Given these factors, further increases in flaxseed prices are expected," concluded E. Karabanov.
