Kazhydromet has published its final moisture forecast for May. According to the data, atmospheric moisture conditions across most of the republic are expected to be close to long-term values, according to the APK News agency.
According to the weather forecast, precipitation in May is predicted to be:
around normal in most of the republic;
below normal in Kyzylorda, Ulytau, most of Karaganda, Turkestan, and Zhambyl regions; southeastern Aktobe, southern Kostanay, northern Almaty, the extreme south of Akmola, northwestern Zhetisu, and the extreme southwestern Abay regions.
In Aktobe, moderate drought is expected in some pastures in the Shalkar district, with moisture levels around normal in the remaining districts.
In Zhambyl, moderate drought is expected in the Korday district, with moisture levels around normal in the rest of the region.
In North Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Akmola, Pavlodar, West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Mangistau, Karaganda, Ulytau, East Kazakhstan, Abay, Almaty, Turkestan, Kyzylorda regions and in the Zhetisu region, moisture conditions are expected to be close to normal.
