The food corporation plans to export wheat to the Persian Gulf countries. 13.11.2025 в 15:58 23 просмотра

In the 2024-2025 marketing year, the Food Corporation sold 1.3 million tons of grain. This is four times more than last season and the highest result in the last ten years, according to the national company's press service.

The Food Corporation primarily supplied grain to domestic flour mills, livestock and poultry farms, and processing plants. A total of 425,000 tons of grain were exported to the domestic market.

From September 2024 to August 2025, Kazakhstan exported 13.2 million tons of grain, including flour equivalent. The Food Corporation's share of grain exports amounted to 8.9%. The largest grain shipments—over 143,000 tons—were sent to new export destinations: Vietnam, Morocco, Algeria, and Egypt. Grain shipments to Iran, Azerbaijan, and Georgia totaled 62,000 tons, thus Kazakhstan regained its presence in these markets.

Last season, the Food Corporation exported grain to 12 countries. Traditional consumers of agricultural products included Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and China. The main export product was grade 3 milling wheat.

Today, the national operator continues to supply wheat to distant export markets, mastering complex multimodal routes. Deliveries are being made, among other things, via a new transport corridor through Russia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, which allowed for the first-ever trial shipment of grain to Armenia.

Furthermore, the Food Corporation notes a multiplier effect. The introduction of transport subsidies has increased the profitability of grain exports and the price of wheat on the domestic market, while access to ports on the Black and Baltic Seas has ensured supply diversification and strengthened Kazakhstan's position in foreign markets.

"In the new season, the Food Corporation plans to enter the markets of the Persian Gulf countries and maintain its current export volumes. To ensure stable grain shipments to global markets, the national operator, in conjunction with industry government agencies, is working on signing bilateral phytosanitary agreements regulating the safety and quality of plant products," the company reported.
