Kazakhstan's grain and flour exports in grain equivalent amounted to 13.1 million tons, according to the APK News agency.

According to JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, grain and flour exports in grain equivalent reached 13.1 million tons from September 2025 to June 2026. This is 13% higher than the same period last season, when 11.6 million tons were exported.

The main drivers of growth were traditional importing countries in the Central Asian region and Afghanistan.

Thus, exports to Uzbekistan increased by 38%, from 3.9 million tons to 5.5 million tons;
to Kyrgyzstan by 1.4 times, from 357,000 tons to 504,000 tons;
to Afghanistan by 59%, from 1.4 million tons to 2.2 million tons;
to Turkmenistan by 37%, from 150,000 tons to 205,000 tons.

Meanwhile, according to the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, which cites KTZ, only 968,000 tons of grain (including all grains and oilseeds) were loaded on the KTZ network in June 2026, including 728,000 tons for export and 240,000 tons within the country. By comparison, only 953,300 tons were loaded in May 2026, including 715,700 tons for export and 237,500 tons within the country.

"The positive freight transport statistics confirm the high demand for Kazakhstani agricultural products and the stable operation of logistics corridors in the southern direction, and also demonstrate the effectiveness of measures taken to develop export logistics and expand trade and economic cooperation with foreign partners," commented the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
