
As of October 1, 2025, grain and legume reserves in Kazakhstan totaled 19,939,000 tons, including over 15,609,000 tons of wheat, according to the Bureau of National Statistics.
Of the total grain reserves, food reserves amounted to 16,867,000 tons, seeds to 764,000 tons, and feed to over 2,307,000 tons.
Food wheat in storage facilities totaled over 14,272,000 tons, seed reserves over 539,000 tons, and feed reserves accounted for over 797,900 tons.
According to the statistics agency, agricultural producers held approximately 9,218,000 tons of grain in storage facilities, 4,638,000 tons in elevators, 4 million tons in farms, over 185,000 tons in wholesalers, over 10,800 tons in organic chemical producers, and over 76,800 tons in feed producers. Flour mills held over 1,424,000 tons, and other legal entities held over 291,500 tons.
Barley stocks at the beginning of the month totaled over 2,647,000 tons: 1,375,000 tons of food grade barley, 147,000 tons of seed barley, and 1,125,000 tons of feed barley.
Furthermore, corn reserves in Kazakhstan amounted to 239,600 tons, rice – 353,000 tons, rye – 24,000 tons, oats – 226,000 tons, and buckwheat – 41,000 tons.
As a reminder, the grain harvest is nearing completion in Kazakhstan. As of October 13, 15.1 million hectares, or 94.1% of the total grain and legume crop area, have been harvested. A total of 24.6 million tons of grain have been threshed.
