The Food Corporation's share of grain exports from Kazakhstan has grown to almost 9%. 07.10.2025 в 11:25 5 просмотров

The share of grain in total national grain exports reached 8.9%. In previous years, this figure did not exceed 3-5%, the Food Corporation press service reported.

"In the new marketing year, good prospects for grain sales remain in both domestic and foreign markets. Extending support measures for grain exporters and producers will provide additional incentive for promoting Kazakhstani products in promising foreign trade areas. We are already seeing a positive effect: by the end of the first eight months of 2025, Kazakhstan exported 12.8 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent," commented Asylkhan Dzhuvashev, Chairman of the Food Corporation Board.

He also noted that this year's harvest in Kazakhstan is characterized by varying grain quality. Under these conditions, demand for high-quality food grain is naturally increasing, which will contribute to price growth in the future.

"We expect further price increases for high-quality food grain by the beginning of winter, while price dynamics in the feed segment will remain more subdued," said the head of the Food Corporation.

On October 3, the national company announced grain procurement prices, which traditionally serve as benchmarks for the coming year for all grain market participants. Asylkhan Dzhuvashev noted that global and domestic trends were taken into account when setting the prices. This year, grain prices are significantly higher than last year, which will allow farmers to cover costs and maintain production profitability. At the same time, it is important to set a price level that does not lead to the mass import of cheaper grain from neighboring countries.

"Of course, farmers always expect higher prices, citing benchmarks of 95,000 tenge and above for grade 3 wheat. As a result of a comprehensive analysis, we have determined a fair price range." "Thus, the price of grade 3 wheat is set at 90,000 to 115,000 tenge, depending on quality; grade 4 wheat is 80,000 to 82,000 tenge; and grade 5 wheat is 70,000 tenge. The proposed grain prices are 20,000 tenge higher than last year. This approach takes into account the interests of all market participants, allowing farmers to produce profitably, and processing plants, millers, livestock and poultry farms to operate sustainably," emphasized Asylkhan Dzhuvashev.
