Last week, there were no price changes for grain crops on the domestic market of Kazakhstan. There is a balance of supply and demand.

In the south of Kazakhstan, winter wheat harvesting continues. The yield is 9-13 c/ha. The crops were warmed up due to the hot weather in May. The quality of the harvested wheat is high: gluten 30+, IDK 70-75 units, but low nature - 700-710 g/l. This grain is offered by farmers at 125-130 thousand tenge/t, excluding VAT, from farms.

Only one lot of class 3 wheat was sold on the ETS exchange: (class 25) - 300 tons at a price of 102 thousand tenge/t, on EXW terms - linear elevator, incl. VAT 12%.

During the week, lots on EXW terms - linear elevator with VAT were repeatedly offered on ETS by JSC NC "Prodcorporation" and other participants:

3rd class wheat, 23% gluten at a price of 97-102 thousand tenge/t;

3rd class wheat, 25% gluten - at a price of 104 thousand tenge/t;

3rd class wheat, 27% gluten at a price of 132 thousand tenge/t;

3rd class wheat, 30% gluten at a price of 135-137 thousand tenge/t;

4th class wheat at a price of 97 thousand tenge/t;

2nd class barley at a price of 92 thousand tenge/t.

Transactions on these lots did not take place.

Export prices for grains unchanged. The shipping rates are in line with the current time of year.

Payment of transport subsidies for previously submitted applications by exporters continues. According to the program operator, JSC NC Food Contract Corporation, as of June 26, 2025, 426 applications for partial compensation of transport costs were received. The total volume of export deliveries according to applications amounted to 942.1 thousand tons of wheat worth 21.7 billion tenge (41.7 million USD / 3.27 billion ₽). The main export destinations were Azerbaijan, the Baltic countries, Georgia and transit routes through the ports of the Black and Baltic Seas.

For 174 applications, the Food Contract Corporation has previously paid exporters 7.27 billion tenge (14 million USD / 1.1 billion ₽) for the supply of 320.1 thousand tons. Consideration of applications and payment will continue until September 1 or until the allocated funds are exhausted, whichever comes first.

Domestic and export prices for flax unchanged.

With the approach of the new harvest in Ukraine, the demand for flax from EU buyers has begun to cool. Prices for flax on CIF ARAG terms (Amsterdam / Rotterdam / Antwerp / Ghent) are now quoted at 30 USD / t below last week's level - 790 USD / t, with delivery in July.

Weather.

Last week, thunderstorms, in some places - showers and hail occurred in the northern regions of the country. In some areas, 1-1.5 monthly precipitation norms fell - from 18 to 60 mm. This significantly replenished the moisture reserves in the soil and created a favorable environment for plant vegetation. This week, forecasters predict continued rainy weather with thunderstorms.

Resume:

In the absence of an outbreak of fungal diseases and drought in July, current weather conditions create favorable conditions for obtaining a good harvest

Only one lot was sold on the ETS exchange:

3-class wheat (gluten 25%) – 300 t, 102 thousand tenge/t, EXW-line terms, VAT 12% included.

Export prices have not changed. The pace of deliveries is seasonal.

Payments for transport subsidies for exports continue. According to the data of JSC "Prodkorporatsiya", as of June 26, 2025, 426 applications were received. According to the applications, the export volume amounted to 942.1 thousand tons of wheat. The total amount is 21.7 billion tenge (41.7 million USD / 3.27 billion ₽).

Previous payments were made for 174 applications - 7.27 billion tenge (14 million USD / 1.1 billion ₽) for 320.1 thousand tons of grain.

Payments will continue until September 1 or until the funds are completely exhausted.

Flax prices have not changed in the domestic and export markets.

The arrival of new products in Ukraine - led to a decrease in demand from EU buyers.

CIF ARAG (Amsterdam / Rotterdam / Antwerp / Ghent) flax prices are 30 USD/t lower than last week - 790 USD/t, with delivery in July.

Weather:

Last week, thunderstorms and hail fell in the northern regions. In some areas, the amount of precipitation was 18–60 mm, which was the norm for 1–1.5 months. This replenished the moisture reserves in the soil and had a positive effect on the vegetative development of plants.

Thunderstorms are expected to continue this week.

Conclusion:

If there are no fungal diseases and drought in July, the current weather conditions are favorable for a good harvest.
