
Rising air temperatures and precipitation deficit in some regions of Kazakhstan will contribute to the intensification of drought conditions. According to final estimates, moderate drought is expected in 13 regions of Kazakhstan in July 2025.
In July, moderate drought conditions are expected in:
in the West Kazakhstan region - in the Zhanybek and Kaztal districts;
in the Aktobe region - in the Shalkar and Mugalzhar districts;
in the Atyrau region - in the Inderbor district;
in the Mangistau region - in the Beineu, Mangistau and Karakiyan districts;
in the Kostanay region - in the Amangeldy, Dzhangeldy districts;
in the Karaganda region - in the Aktogay and Shet districts;
in the Ulytau region - in the Ulytau district;
in the Abay region - in the Ayagoz and Urzhar districts;
in Almaty region - in Balkhash, Zhambyl and Yenbekshikazakh districts;
in Zhetysu region - in Alakol, Karatal districts and partly in Panfilov district except for mountainous areas;
as well as in most of Zhambyl, Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions.
In the rest of the country, moisture conditions are expected to be close to normal.
