Prices for Kazakh wheat continued to rise 15.04.2025 в 12:58 114 просмотров

Last week, prices for all grain crops continued to rise in Kazakhstan amid high buyer activity. This was reported on his Telegram channel by Evgeniy Karabanov, head of the analytics department of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan.

“There is still an imbalance between supply and demand, despite significant grain reserves (according to the National Statistics Service). Thus, the strengthening of domestic prices has been outpacing the growth of export prices for several weeks, as a result of which the activity of importers is falling. Prices offered by importers lag behind the growth of domestic prices by a week or two,” the expert said.

On the contrary, according to his information, stagnation is observed in the flour market. Sales are weak, and warehouses are full of finished products, which has led to the shutdown of many mills.

According to Evgeniy Karabanov, the average price of Kazakhstan grain in the period from April 7 to 13 was:

3rd class wheat - from 81 thousand to 108 thousand tenge per ton, depending on quality (price at the elevator, with VAT)
hi-pro wheat (gluten above 29%) - from 130 thousand to 135 thousand tenge per ton
4th class wheat - 77-80 thousand tenge per ton
5th class wheat - 75-78 thousand tenge per ton.
Feed barley was traded in the range of 82-87 thousand tenge per ton, flax - 260-270 thousand tenge/ton.

Export prices for grade 3 wheat (DAP Saryagash) for the same period ranged from $208 to $260 per ton; hi-pro wheat – $280-285; grade 4 wheat – $200-205.

The export price of barley was $210-215 per ton for shipments to Central Asia, $215-220 to China, and $230-235 in the port of Aktau (FOB).
