On the approach to the Altynkol-Khorgos crossing from the Kazakh side, 530 covered cars have accumulated. Considering that China receives an average of 13 wagons per day, this amount will have to be transported across the border for 40 days. In this regard, KTZ introduced a ban on receiving and redirecting to the PRC such agricultural cargo as wheat, barley, flax seeds, seeds of other oilseeds, as well as cakes and grinding products (flour, animal feed, bran).
The ban applies to covered wagons and is introduced from June 5 to June 10. Shippers will be exempt from fines for failure to fulfill the transportation plan for the first ten days of June.
