JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy organized the first multimodal shipment of mineral fertilizers from Ekibastuz to the United Kingdom, APK News reports.
The shipment is carried out along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), using rail and sea transport.
The route passes through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The cargo is then shipped by sea via the ports of Poti and Batumi to the port of Felixstowe in the United Kingdom.
The new route has expanded the capabilities of domestic companies to supply products to the UK market. The use of the TITR ensures competitive delivery times, diversifies transport routes, and increases the resilience of international supply chains.
JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is consistently expanding the geography of its international shipments. Previously, the company organized the export of Kazakh products along the Ekibastuz-Miami route. Today, KTZ delivers cargo to the USA, Great Britain, Belgium, Poland, the Czech Republic, and other countries.
