The Kazakhstan Grain Union released data on feed meal exports from Kazakhstan for September-May 2025/26. According to the data, shipments in May were 41% higher than in April. This is the highest monthly feed meal export volume ever recorded, according to APK News.
The cumulative total for the first nine months of the current marketing year was a record 2,756,000 tons. This is 1.88 times more than for the same period last marketing year and 24% more than the total export volume for 2024/25 marketing year.
More than 99% of exports were met by demand from China.
The increase in feed meal exports to China is occurring despite restrictions and logistical problems that periodically arise at border crossings.
"Given the record pace of feed meal shipments, we are increasing our previous forecast for feed meal exports in the current marketing year by 200,000 tons to 3.3 million tons, assuming there are no administrative barriers or restrictions from Chinese government agencies," the Union said in a statement.
