The beginning of July is expected to be rainy and hot across most of Kazakhstan. Variable weather is forecast for the second and third ten-day periods, with periods of reduced high temperatures, according to the Kazhydromet advisory forecast.
According to the forecast, unstable weather is expected across most of Kazakhstan in early July with the passage of an active cyclone and atmospheric frontal sections, including rain and thunderstorms, possible hail, and squally winds. Heavy rainfall is forecast in the south, in the mountainous and foothill areas of Almaty and Zhetysu regions.
During the first ten-day period of the month, daytime temperatures will rise to intense and very hot:
- in the west from +18+27°C to +30+38°C;
- in the Mangystau region from +22+30°C to +35+40°C, in the south from +43°C;
- In the northwest, temperatures will range from +17+25°C to +33+40°C;
- in the north, from +20+28°C to +33+38°C;
- in the center, from +23+33°C to +32+40°C;
- in the south, from +25+33°C to +37+44°C;
- in the southeast, from +23+28°C to +33+42°C.
In the Pavlodar region, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +28+33°C to +20+25°C.
In the east, a gradual, slight decrease in heat is forecast, from +30+38°C to +25+35°C.
In the second and third ten-day periods of July, persistent hot periods will alternate with days of torrential thunderstorms, gusty winds, and dust storms. On the hottest days, daytime temperatures across most of Kazakhstan will reach 33°C to 39°C, while in the west and southern half of the country, they will reach 35°C to 45°C. On some days, temperatures are forecast to drop to 20°C to 28°C in the northern half and 23°C to 33°C in the south, Kazhydromet reported.
