Kazakhstan and China held talks on agricultural metrology, mutual recognition of standards, and the implementation of digital solutions in agriculture, APK News reports.

Particular attention was paid to jointly combating the spread of dangerous pests, including locusts, which threaten crops in border regions.

During the meeting, modern monitoring methods were discussed, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. Drones allow for the rapid identification of infestations and targeted treatment of fields, significantly increasing the effectiveness of crop protection.

The participants exchanged up-to-date information on the pest situation, discussed the practical aspects of drone use, and discussed testing and evaluating the effectiveness of the equipment.

Following the talks, the parties emphasized the need for coordinated actions, rapid data exchange, and the implementation of advanced agricultural technologies to ensure phytosanitary security.

The agreements reached will strengthen cooperation between the two countries and contribute to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
