The application period for moisture deficiency insurance for spring crops has been extended through April 30. This decision opens up additional opportunities for farmers in 11 regions of the country: Akmola, Aktobe, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, as well as Abay and Ulytau, the press service of the Agrarian Credit Corporation reported.
Farmers can insure their grain and oilseed crops by choosing the most appropriate coverage option. For grain crops, three-phase insurance provides coverage from May 15 to August 15, while two-phase coverage extends from June 15 to August 15. For oilseed crops, the three-phase coverage period is June 15 to September 14, while the two-phase coverage period is July 15 to September 14, 2026.
The crop insurance program includes government support in the form of an 80% subsidy for the insurance policy. The Agricultural Credit Corporation acts as the payout processor.
Applications can be submitted remotely through the specialized portal Kezekte.kz. Timely registration of an insurance contract allows farmers to minimize financial risks associated with adverse weather conditions during key phases of the plant growing season.
