Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KTZ, met with HoAng Gia Khanh, CEO of Vietnam Railways. The parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the railway sector, including further increasing freight traffic volumes.
It was noted that in 2025, Kazakhstan exported over 15,000 tons of wheat to Vietnam. The grain cargo was delivered to the port of Hai Phong (Vietnam) via the Dostyk and Altynkol border crossings. The trains departed from the Azat, Akkol, and Kokshetau stations in the Akmola region.
Currently, Kazakh products are shipped to Vietnam via sustainable multimodal routes through China, including a rail-sea route through the port of Lianyungang with access to the port of Hai Phong.
The parties confirmed their readiness to increase transportation volumes, create favorable conditions for shippers, and strengthen cooperation in transport and logistics.
