The Bureau of National Statistics published information on the availability of oilseeds in Kazakhstan, according to APK News.
As of April 1, 2026, the total amount of oilseeds in Kazakhstan was 2,752,000 tons. These seeds are distributed as follows:
* Food: 2.5 million tons
* Seed: 109,000 tons
* Forage: 106,000 tons
Crop distribution:
* Sunflower: 1,465,000 tons (of which nearly 1.4 million tons are food sunflower)
* Rapeseed: 271,000 tons
* Safflower: 94,000 tons
* Flax: 842,000 tons
* Mustard: 15,000 tons
* Cotton: 6,000 tons
Regional distribution of stocks:
The largest volume of seeds is stored in the North Kazakhstan region—788,000 tons, followed by the Kostanay region with 560,000 tons and the Akmola region with 432,000 tons.
Oilseed exports and imports in January 2026:
According to the National Statistics Bureau, oilseed exports and imports in January 2026 were:
* Sunflower: 22,000 tons exported, approximately 4,000 tons imported
* Rapeseed: 15,000 tons exported, 157 tons imported
* Flax: 116,000 tons exported, 2,500 tons imported
* Soybeans: 9,000 tons exported, 3,000 tons imported.
