Kazakhstan exported 6.4 million tons of grain 20.02.2026 в 18:07 18 просмотров

According to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, 6.4 million tons of new-harvest grain were exported to foreign markets from September 2025 to February 19. This represents a 19.7% increase compared to the same period in the previous marketing year (2024/2025), when shipments totaled 5.4 million tons. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

It is noted that this growth was driven by increased trade with traditional markets in Central Asia and beyond.

"Shippings to Uzbekistan increased significantly, by 46%, from 2 million tons to 3 million tons. Exports to Kyrgyzstan increased 1.7-fold, from 104,000 tons to 180,000 tons, and to Afghanistan, by 1.9-fold, from 236,000 tons to 466,000 tons." "The positive export trend indicates strong demand for Kazakhstani grain and the competitiveness of domestic products in foreign markets," the ministry reported.

As a reminder, in 2025, Kazakhstan harvested a record grain harvest of 27.1 million tonnes, with an average yield of 17 centners per hectare (compared to 16.2 centners per hectare in 2024). Of this, 20.3 million tonnes of wheat were harvested, with a yield of 16.6 centners per hectare.
