With the assistance of the Food Corporation of Kazakhstan, a container train carrying 12,300 tons of animal feed meal was dispatched to China. The shipment was supplied by Kapshaqai Bidai Onimderi LLP, and imported by Shandong Hi-speed Qilu International Land Port Development Co. Ltd., the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported.
"The shipments are being made in furtherance of the agreements reached during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan to Beijing. As a reminder, in October 2025, the Food Corporation signed an agreement with Shandong Hi-speed Qilu on cooperation in the export of grain, forage, and oilseed crops from Kazakhstan to China. Under the contract, 22,900 tons of the planned 35,400 tons of animal feed meal have already been delivered to customers," the Ministry of Agriculture clarified.
The Chinese market has demonstrated steady demand for animal feed meal produced in Kazakhstan over the past two years. Meanwhile, Kazakhstani producers are increasing their supply volumes. By the end of 2025, feed meal exports to China exceeded 2.6 million tons, double the previous year's figures.
The promotion of Kazakhstani processed agricultural products in foreign markets is being facilitated by export support measures provided by the Food Corporation. Since 2024, the national grain operator has been implementing a program to consolidate agricultural export shipments, which helps organize large shipments and improve logistics. Over the past two years, farmers have shipped approximately $58 million worth of crop products to foreign buyers. These primarily include grains and oilseeds, sunflower oil, and feed meal.
