According to the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, a significant increase in grain supplies to foreign markets was observed from September 2025 to January 15, 2026. Exports of the new harvest grain amounted to 5.1 million tons, compared to 4.3 million tons for the same period last year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Growth in supplies was recorded in key destinations, including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan. Grain supplies to Uzbekistan increased by 40.2%, from 1,670,000 tons to 2,341,000 tons. Significant growth was also observed in the direction of Kyrgyzstan: export volumes increased by 76.5%, from 85,000 tons to 150,000 tons. Grain exports to Afghanistan increased by 71.6%, from 204,000 tons to 350,000 tons. "Overall, the increase in grain export volumes confirms the high potential of Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex, the competitiveness of domestic products, and the stable demand for Kazakhstani grain in traditional and new markets," the Ministry of Agriculture noted.
