Murat Irgibaev, Deputy Chairman of the State Inspection Committee for Agriculture, and representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan discussed expanding Kazakh agricultural exports to the Chinese market. To achieve this, inspections by the authorized Chinese government agency must be expedited, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture reported.

"The Kazakh side emphasized the need to intensify inspection activities by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China in order to expand the list of regions and types of agricultural products permitted for export to China. It was noted that expanding export opportunities will increase supply volumes and strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries," the press service reported.

Representatives of Kazakh companies and authorized government agencies confirmed their readiness to facilitate inspections and provide all necessary information within the framework of existing procedures.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further cooperate on the issues discussed.

The Ministry of Agriculture previously reported that Kazakhstan and China had signed 16 phytosanitary protocols for 21 types of products, including wheat, barley, soybeans, flax, rapeseed, and other crops. More than 2,800 Kazakhstani enterprises are included in the register of the State Customs Inspectorate of China and are authorized to export products to the Chinese market.
