Kazakhstan attracts $2.6 billion in grain processing 25.12.2025 в 14:07 8 просмотров

Kazakhstan processes over 5 million tons of grain annually. Of this volume, 510,000 tons are processed for deep processing: 300,000 tons of wheat and 210,000 tons of corn. With the launch of these new facilities, domestic grain processing will almost double, according to Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov.

"Currently, three deep processing plants are operating, producing starch, gluten, molasses, bioethanol, and other products. By 2028, five major projects are planned to be launched, which will process 4.8 million tons of wheat and corn per year. Investment in the industry will amount to $2.6 billion, creating 3,300 new jobs. The product range will be expanded to include amino acids, syrups, vitamins, and other high-value-added products," said Aidarbek Saparov.

The Minister of Agriculture noted that the products are targeted at international markets, including the US and Europe, where demand for food and medical ingredients is high. Deliveries are also planned to China and India, major consumers of food products and food additives, as well as to the CIS, Middle East, and Africa, where demand for feed amino acids is constantly growing due to the development of livestock farming.

"Today, our country has a stable raw material base, in particular, a surplus of wheat production. This allows us to increase processing volumes. High-quality gluten creates the conditions for the production of competitive food and feed products. Government support plays a key role in attracting investment and implementing modern technologies," said Aidarbek Saparov.
