The harvest season is drawing to a close in Kazakhstan. To date, 15.5 million hectares, or 96.8% of the total grain and legume crop area, have been harvested. The projected harvest area is over 16 million hectares. 25.9 million tons of grain have been harvested, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In addition to grain crops, agricultural producers harvested 2.7 million tons of oilseeds, 2.9 million tons of potatoes with a yield of 228.5 c/ha, and 3.6 million tons of vegetables with a yield of 305.1 c/ha.
441,600 tons of cabbage were harvested with a yield of 319.3 c/ha, 1,029,800 tons of onions with a yield of 429.4 c/ha, and 379,400 tons of carrots with a yield of 296.1 c/ha.
