Prices for grain logistics to Central Asian countries have increased by 25-30% 16.09.2025 в 15:13 5 просмотров

Grain exports have become more expensive in Kazakhstan. Prices in the direction of Central Asian countries have increased by 20-30%, the APK News agency reports.

The seasonal increase in logistics prices was noted in the Grain Union of Kazakhstan. As the official representative of the Union, Yevgeny Karabanov, said, prices for complex logistics services (including the provision/rent of a railway car plus railway tariffs) in the direction of Central Asian countries have increased by 25-30%, or by $6-8 per ton.

The reason for the increase in prices was said to be the increased seasonal demand for railway cars.

As the head of the National Association of Grain Exporters "KazGrain" Zeinolla Abdumanapov told the APK News agency, the increase in prices is quite significant.

"If in August the rate from the northern regions of Kazakhstan to the Tashkent hub was 900-950 thousand tenge, then in September it was already 1 million 300 thousand - 1 million 350 thousand tenge. It turns out that the rate has increased by 400 thousand tenge. This is an expected situation, since the rent of a wagon, the loaded tariff and the empty return of the wagon are becoming more expensive, and off-season rates are low and forwarders can earn money on the rapid turnover of the wagon. That is, if you make two trips in a month, you can hope for a profit. And it is very difficult to do this," the expert commented.

According to the Grain Union, last week, grade 3 wheat with 25-26% gluten increased in price by $8 per ton due to increased demand from exporters.
