Kazhydromet has released a seasonal weather forecast for Kazakhstan for September - November 2025. It is expected that in the fall, in most regions of Kazakhstan, the air temperature will be near normal, and the amount of precipitation is predicted to be near long-term values.
According to the seasonal advisory forecast, in September, in most of Kazakhstan, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be near normal, in the western regions of the republic and in some areas of the northwest of the country - above normal by 1 °, and in the northeast, east and southeast of the country - below normal by 1 ° (normal: +10+16 °C in most of Kazakhstan, +17+21 °C - in the southern half of the country, +4+9 °C - in the mountainous regions of the southeast and east of the republic).
In October, the probability of frost increases, the average monthly air temperature is expected to be around normal in most of the republic, and 1° above normal is expected in the west, south, and southeast of the country (normal: +3+9°C in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan, +10+14°C in the south, southwest of the country, -1+2°C in the mountainous regions of the southeast and east of the republic).
In November, the air temperature is expected to be 1–2° above normal in most of the republic, and only in the extreme south and southeast of the country is it around normal (normal: -7+1°C in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan, +2+7°C in the south of the country).
In autumn, the amount of precipitation is generally predicted to be around long-term values, however, in terms of regions, its distribution is expected to be uneven:
- In September, precipitation is predicted to be around the norm in most of the republic, less than the norm - in Mangistau, in the Ulytau region, in the Kyzylorda region, in most of the Turkestan region, in the extreme south of the Aktobe, Kostanay regions, in the west of the Karaganda region, in the northwest of the Zhambyl region (norm: 1-24 mm in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 25-42 mm in certain areas of the west, north, east and southeast of the country, 50-56 mm - in the mountainous regions of the east of the republic);
- in October, in most regions, the amount of precipitation will be close to the long-term norm, above the norm - in the north-western part, in the mountainous and foothill areas of the south, southeast and east of the republic (norm: 6-24 mm in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 25-49 mm - in most of the north, east, southeast of the country, in some areas of the west, center, south of the republic, 50-64 mm in the mountainous areas of the south, southeast and east of the republic); in November, precipitation is forecasted near the norm in most of the country, below the norm - in most of the southwest, center, east, south of the country, in the north of the Almaty region and Zhetysu region (norm: 9-24 mm in most of the country, 50-82 mm - in some areas of the south, southeast of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
