Grain harvesting is underway in all regions of Kazakhstan. To date, 3 million hectares of grain have been harvested, which is 18.9% of the total crop area. 4.3 million tons of grain have been threshed, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
According to the department, East Kazakhstan, Almaty, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, North Kazakhstan regions and Zhetysu region show good yields.
In addition, 74.2 thousand tons of oilseeds, 636.2 thousand tons of potatoes with a yield of 243.1 c/ha, 1.8 million tons of vegetables with a yield of 289.1 c/ha, 2 million tons of melons with a yield of 272.9 c/ha have been harvested.
Also, 326.6 thousand tons of cabbage were collected with a yield of 370.4 c/ha, 295.7 thousand tons of onions with a yield of 390.6 c/ha, 101.6 thousand tons of carrots with a yield of 297.5 c/ha.
