Sunflower seeds, after a long rise in price, reduced their price last week, the APK News agency reports.
Over the period from August 18 to 24, sunflower reduced its price by 20 thousand tenge per ton. Such data are presented in the latest weekly bulletin of the analytical bureau "Grain and Oilseeds. Kazakhstan". The information indicates that at the moment its average cost in Kazakhstan is 236 thousand tenge. It is worth noting that weeks earlier, sunflower cost 256 thousand tenge.
Meanwhile, the Grain Union previously predicted the cost of sunflower of the new crop. It was reported that at the beginning of the season the price would be from 175 to 185 thousand tenge, with a further possible increase. The Union noted that the crop is profitable and quite in demand. Its price is always stable. Last season, the price rose from 150 thousand tenge at the beginning of the season to 250 thousand tenge by the end of the year.
If we consider other oilseeds, the price of flax has remained virtually unchanged over the past week, or there was a slight decrease (by 5 thousand tenge per ton). The market is waiting for a new harvest. The average price of flax in Kazakhstan is 246 thousand tenge.
Rapeseed costs 233 thousand tenge. Its price has not changed.
Safflower - 164 thousand tenge (unchanged).
Soybeans - 214 thousand tenge (unchanged).
