
Forecasters predict drought in 12 regions of Kazakhstan in August. In the south of the country, there is a high probability of drought at the end of summer. This is reported by Kazhydromet.
In particular, drought is predicted in August:
- in Zhanybek, Zhangalinsky, Akzhaik, Karatyubinsky and Bokeyordinsky districts of West Kazakhstan region;
- in Shalkar and Irgiz districts of Aktobe region;
- in Amangeldy and Zhangeldy districts of Kostanay region;
- Aktogay district of Karaganda region;
- in Ayagoz and Urzharsky districts of Abay region;
- in Balkhash and Zhambyl districts of Almaty region;
- in the Aral, Karmakshinsky, Shiili districts of the Kyzylorda region and in the city of Kyzylorda,
- in the Makhambet, Isatay, Dambinsky and Kzylkoginsky districts of the Atyrau region,
- in most of the Mangistau, Zhambyl, Turkestan and Ulytau regions.
Moderately humid conditions are forecasted in the Kostanay region in the Uzynkol, Mendygara, Sarykol and Auliekol districts, in the North Kazakhstan region - in the Zhambyl, Taiynshinsky, Timiryazevsky districts and in the G. Musrepov, M. Zhumabayev and Shal akyn districts.
In the rest of the country, humidification conditions are expected to be close to normal.
