
This year, Kazakhstani agricultural producers have sown 3.99 million hectares with oilseeds. This is an absolute record for all years of observation, APK-Inform reports with reference to official statistics. In 2024, oilseed crops amounted to 2.89 million hectares, in 2023 - 2.81 million hectares, in 2022 - 3.86 million hectares.
In particular, about 1.77 million hectares were sown with sunflower (in 2024 - 1.28 million hectares, in 2023 - 1.18 million hectares, in 2022 - 1.01 million hectares).
Rapeseed crops have also increased significantly - up to 328 thousand hectares (in 2024 - 155 thousand hectares, in 2023 - 98 thousand hectares, in 2022 - 142 thousand hectares).
Oil flax was sown on 1.35 million hectares (there was more only in 2022 - 1.41 million hectares). In 2024, this figure was 972 thousand hectares, in 2023 - 909 thousand hectares.
Soybeans are sown on 106.7 thousand hectares, which is slightly higher than the figures for the last two years (99.7 thousand hectares and 100.5 thousand hectares, respectively), but lower than the 2022 level (127.7 thousand hectares).
411 thousand hectares are allocated for safflower (in 2024 - 377 thousand hectares, in 2023 - 486 thousand hectares, in 2022 - 647 thousand hectares).
As APK-Inform reported, according to expert forecasts, Kazakhstan will harvest a record sunflower crop in 2025.
