
Kazakhstan has significantly expanded the geography of grain supplies this year. In particular, for the first time, supplies were made to the UK, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Norway and other countries. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Buyers from the UAE, Vietnam and North African countries are showing active interest in Kazakhstani products. Only through the national grain operator JSC NC Food Contract Corporation, about 60 thousand tons and 15 thousand tons of wheat were exported to North Africa (Morocco) and Vietnam, respectively,” the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
In addition, Kazakhstani grain shippers resumed supplies to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, interrupted over the past five years. The export of durum wheat to Italy has increased significantly.
According to KTZ, from September 2024 to July 2025, Kazakhstan exported 12.4 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent, which is 34% higher than the same period in 2023/2024 (9.3 million tons).
Grain and flour supplies to Uzbekistan have increased significantly - by 28.2% (from 3 million 384 thousand tons to 4 million 338 thousand tons), Tajikistan - by 39.2% (from 1 million 39 thousand tons to 1 million 446 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan - by 2.5 times (from 156 thousand tons to 398 thousand tons), Iran - by 17.3 times (from 56 thousand tons to 974 thousand tons), Azerbaijan - by 120 times (from 6 thousand tons to 723 thousand tons).
