Since the beginning of 2025, the Food Corporation has sold more than 850 thousand tons of grain on the domestic market and for export, the press service of the national company reported.
“In the first half of 2025, the corporation sold over 850 thousand tons of grain. Of this volume, more than 200 thousand tons were shipped to foreign markets, which is twice as much as in the same period in 2024. The geography of export deliveries covers strategically important areas. Thus, the company's main partners are government agencies of China, Iran, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan,” said Tobylbek Omarov, Managing Director of the Food Corporation, at the Astyk International Grain Conference in Kostanay Region.
The company noted that since one of the functions of the Food Corporation is to stabilize the domestic food market, significant volumes of grain - about 650 thousand tons - were sold to flour milling, poultry, livestock enterprises and other entities in the agro-industrial complex.
In addition, the Food Corporation continues to provide financial support to agricultural producers.
“Since the beginning of 2025 alone, the company has sent farmers about 18 billion tenge as part of forward financing for the purchase of 350 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds. In particular, 121 agreements have been concluded with farmers in the Kostanay region for an advance payment of 5.4 billion tenge for the supply of 105 thousand tons of agricultural products,” noted Tobylbek Omarov.
He emphasized that systemic state support for the agricultural sector contributes to production growth, increased profitability and competitiveness of the Kazakh agro-industrial complex. The introduction of such mechanisms as consolidation of export batches of agricultural products, reimbursement of part of the transportation costs of exporters and grain producers make it possible to ensure more effective access to global markets and strengthen Kazakhstan's position as a reliable supplier of agricultural products.
