In the current season, Kazakhstan has significantly increased its rapeseed exports. Over the 10 months of the 2024/25 season, 117.9 thousand tons of oilseeds were shipped to foreign markets, which is 3 times higher than the same period last season (37.49 thousand tons). This was reported by APK-Inform with reference to official statistics.
The TOP importer of Kazakhstani rapeseed based on the results of September-June 2024/25 MY was Latvia, which increased purchases to 38.6 thousand tons (in the previous MY - 12.6 thousand tons).
In second place is the Russian Federation with an indicator of 31.6 thousand tons (3.1 thousand tons).
Third place in rapeseed imports from Kazakhstan was taken by another European country - Poland, where 21.4 thousand tons were shipped (last season - 0).
Estonia imported 7.6 thousand tons of Kazakh rapeseed (versus 0 last season), while France reduced purchases to 6.6 thousand tons (from 14.8 thousand tons).
The list of buyers of rapeseed from Kazakhstan this season also includes China (4.8 thousand tons versus 0 last season) and Tajikistan – 3.8 thousand tons (last season, a single shipment of an insignificant volume was recorded).
