Kazhydromet has published a preliminary forecast of moisture conditions for July 2025, the APK News agency reports.
According to the information, according to preliminary calculations, moderately dry conditions are forecast for July in most of the Zhambyl, Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions, and are also expected in certain areas of the west, northwest, southwest, center, east and southeast of the country.
In the rest of the territory, moisture conditions are expected to be close to normal.
“Due to climatic features, the southern and southwestern regions of Kazakhstan are highly susceptible to dry conditions in the summer. At the same time, in the southern and southeastern regions, the development of agricultural crops also depends on irrigation and agricultural measures,” Kazhydromet noted.
According to the weather forecast, the amount of precipitation in July is expected to be near normal in most of Kazakhstan, above normal in the northwest of Kostanay region, in the northeastern half of the republic, below normal in the southwestern half of the country.
According to calculations, the following moisture conditions are expected in July:
In Kostanay region, moderately dry conditions of atmospheric moisture are expected in Amangeldy and Dzhangeldy districts, in other districts close to normal.
In West Kazakhstan region, moderate drought is expected in Zhanybek, Syrym and Karatyubinsky districts, close to normal in other districts.
In Aktobe region, moderately dry conditions are expected in Shalkar and Uilsky districts, in the rest of the region, close to normal.
In Atyrau region, moderately dry conditions are forecasted in Makhambet, Makat, Isatay and Kzylkoginsky districts, in other districts, moisture conditions are expected to be close to normal.
In Mangistau region, moderately dry conditions are expected in Beineu, Mangistau and Karakiyansky districts, and close to normal in the rest of the territory.
In Karaganda region, moderately dry conditions are forecast in Aktogay, Karkaraly and Shetsky districts, and close to normal in the rest of the region.
In Ulytau region, in Ulytau and Zhanaarka districts, moisture conditions are forecast as moderately dry.
In Abay region, moderate drought is expected in Ayagoz, Zharma and Urzharsky districts, and close to normal in other districts.
In Almaty region, moderate drought is expected in Balkhash and Zhambyl districts, and close to normal in other districts.
In Zhambyl region, moderate drought is forecasted in Moiynkum, Kordai, Zhambyl, T. Ryskulovsky, Merken and Zhualynsky districts.
In Turkestan region, moderate drought is expected in Arys, Suzak, Kazygurt, Karatau, Turkestan, Ordabasy, Otrar, Shardara, Saryagash, Zhetysay and Tyulkubas districts, and near normal in the rest of the territory.
In Kyzylorda region, moderate drought is forecast in Kazaly, Karmakshy, Shiili districts and in Kyzylorda city, and near normal in the rest of the territory.
In the North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Pavlodar, East Kazakhstan regions and in Zhetisu region, moisture conditions are expected to be close to normal.
