
In the first five months of 2025, 1.6 million tons of grain cargo (grain, flour, compound feed) were transported via the KTZ NC network in the direction of China, which is 46% more than in the same period of 2024. This was reported by the press service of the national company.
“The volume of shipped grain amounted to 328 thousand tons, of which 239 thousand tons were in containers. 155 thousand tons were sent through the Altynkol border crossing, and 173 thousand tons through the Dostyk station. The volume of shipped milled products amounted to 179 thousand tons, of which 112 thousand tons were in containers,” KTZ reported.
According to the company, there is a steady positive trend in the transportation of processed agricultural products with high added value. The volume of transportation of compound feed to China reached 1.1 million tons, which is 5 times higher than the same period last year. The bulk of shipments also fell on container shipments.
According to the results of the grain marketing year (September 2024 - May 2025), the total volume of grain cargo transportation to China amounted to over 2.7 million tons, which is 22% more than in the marketing year 2023-2024. More than 920 thousand tons of grain were transported, of which over 600 thousand tons were in containers. The volume of transportation of milled products amounted to 282 thousand tons. During this period, 1.5 million tons of compound feed were transported, which is 5 times higher than last year. Of these, 1.4 million tons were delivered in containers, which is 5.7 times higher than last year.
