
A visit of the Kazakh transport delegation to Greece took place. The delegation included representatives of the Committee for Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Aktau International Sea Trade Port, JSC Kazmortransflot, JSC Kedentransservice, LLP Kaspi Grain Way, and the National Company Kazakh Invest.
According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the key topic of the visit was the discussion of the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (the "Middle Corridor") and its connection with the Greek transport and port infrastructure, as well as joint personnel training.
The Kazakh side presented promising projects for the modernization of Caspian ports, as well as the conditions and mechanisms for attracting foreign investment. The Greek partners expressed interest in creating joint multimodal logistics services.
According to the Secretary General of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dimitris Skalkos, the development of the TITR opens up significant prospects for deepening cooperation between Greece and Kazakhstan and will allow organically linking new transport chains with the Balkans.
Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym Tlepov emphasized that the development of the Trans-Caspian International Route is a key priority for Kazakhstan to diversify export routes. He invited Greek companies to take part in the modernization of port and logistics infrastructure, assuring the creation of the most favorable conditions for investors. According to him, the implementation of these projects will strengthen the sustainability of regional supply chains and give new impetus to both bilateral trade and the expansion of cooperation with European countries.
