The cost of class 3 wheat and most other crops remains stable. Due to a shortage of supply, class 4 and 5 wheat has slightly increased in price, and the price of flax seeds has also continued to rise. This was reported on the Telegram channel by Evgeniy Karabanov, head of the analytics department of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan.
The food corporation continued trading on the ETC exchange. The total sales volume for the week amounted to 47.3 thousand tons, including:
class 3 wheat (gluten 23) - 19.5 thousand tons at a price of 95 thousand tenge / ton with VAT 12%;
class 3 wheat (gluten 25) - 6.9 thousand tons at a price of 97 thousand tenge / ton with VAT 12%;
class 4 wheat - 20.9 thousand tons at a price of 87 thousand tenge / ton.
One transaction on the ETS was concluded for the export of class 3 wheat (gluten 23): 2.1 thousand tons were sold under DAP Saryagash terms at a price of 104,562 tenge/ton, excluding VAT ($205/ton).
According to Evgeny Karabanov, no changes were observed on the export market, and the strengthening of the national currency did not contribute to a decrease in export prices.
Flax prices increased slightly, while in the EU its cost decreased by $10 per ton.
The expert also spoke about the progress of sowing. In the southern part of Kostanay, Akmola, Karaganda regions, hot and dry weather has formed since the beginning of sowing. At the same time, in most of the North Kazakhstan and northern Kostanay regions, heavy rains with thunderstorms occurred, which sharply reduced the pace of sowing. In a number of areas, a month and even a month and a half of precipitation fell. This has a negative impact on the timing of sowing wheat and oilseeds and increases the risks of delaying the harvesting campaign with losses in the quantity and quality of grain, said
According to the expert, dry, hot (+35+38 degrees) and windy weather in the southern regions of Kazakhstan also does not contribute to obtaining a good harvest of winter and spring crops.
