According to preliminary results for the first four months of 2025, agricultural production in Kazakhstan increased by 3.9%. The industry also contributes to the overall development of the Kazakh economy: the country's GDP has grown by 6% since the beginning of the year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of National Economy.

"The agricultural sector maintains a stable positive trend, strengthening Kazakhstan's position as a manufacturer of high-quality products and a reliable exporter. The gross output index for January-April amounted to 3.9%, and by the end of 2024, the volume of gross agricultural output increased by 13.7%, reaching 8.3 trillion tenge," the department noted.

According to the Ministry, over 2.1 trillion tenge have been allocated to subsidize the agro-industrial complex over 5 years, from 2020 to 2024. In 2024, the volume of preferential financing for spring field and harvesting work increased more than 3 times, reaching a record 580 billion tenge, while previously this volume did not exceed 180 billion tenge.

The volume of investments in fixed capital of agriculture increased 1.6 times - from 565.4 billion tenge in 2020 to 919 billion tenge in 2024. Similar growth was shown by investments in the food industry - from 109.1 billion to 180.8 billion tenge.

Labor productivity in the industry is also steadily growing: in 2023, it reached 4.2 million tenge per employee, which is 1.7 times higher than in 2019.

Kazakhstani goods are successfully sold in the countries of Central Asia, the EU and the Middle East. Over 5 years, agricultural exports have grown by 1.7 times, reaching $5.1 billion in 2024.
