
The cost of class 3 wheat is growing on the commodity exchange, the APK News agency reports.
According to the data of the Kazakhstan National Grain Operator Food Corporation, in May the cost of class 3 wheat grain on the Eurasian Trading System commodity exchange rose to 92 thousand tenge per ton.
In May, exchange quotations were as follows (per ton, with VAT):
Class 3 wheat (gluten 23-24%) - 92 thousand tenge;
Class 3 wheat (gluten 25-26%) - 97 thousand tenge;
Class 3 wheat (gluten 27+%, Hi-pro) - 130 thousand tenge;
Class 4 wheat - 87 thousand tenge.
The main reason for the rise in grain prices on the domestic market of Kazakhstan was called good, increased demand from Kazakhstani processors and traders.
As reported, in April, class 3 wheat with gluten content from 23 to 26% averaged 85-88 thousand tenge.
