The Grain Union of Kazakhstan presented a summary of wheat data for six months of the 2024/2025 marketing year, and also made a forecast for the second half of the season, the APK News agency reports.

According to the ZSK, the incoming wheat balance as of September 1, 2024 (excluding the 2024 winter harvest) is 2 million 761 thousand tons. The 2024 harvest, taking into account the winter harvest in net weight is 16 million 800 thousand tons. Total supply is 19 million 561 thousand tons.

Fact for 6 months of 2024/25 MY:
Wheat export - 3879.5 thousand tons;
Flour export - 1112.4 thousand tons;
Total, wheat + flour export in grain equivalent - 5363 thousand tons;
Export of feed meal - 773 thousand tons (618 thousand tons in wheat equivalent);
Domestic consumption of food - 1200 thousand tons;
Domestic consumption of forage - 600 thousand tons;
Domestic consumption of technical processing - 350 thousand tons;
Total consumption: 8131 thousand tons.
Balance as of March 1, 2025 (ZSK data): 19561 - 8131 = 11 million 430 thousand tons.

Planned consumption for the second half of the MY:
Wheat export - 3500 thousand tons;
Flour export - 700 thousand tons;
Total export of wheat + flour in wheat equivalent - 4375 thousand tons;
Export of feed meal - 550 thousand tons (440 thousand tons in wheat equivalent);
Domestic consumption food - 1200 thousand tons;
Domestic consumption forage - 550 thousand tons;
Domestic consumption technical processing - 350 thousand tons;
Domestic consumption seeds - 1900 thousand tons;
Total consumption: 9 million 115 thousand tons.

Income import - 250 thousand tons.

Estimated balance as of September 1, 2025 excluding the 2025 winter crop: 11430 + 250 (import) - 9115 = 2 million 565 thousand tons.
