The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported on measures to implement the instructions given by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the IV National Kurultai. Thus, in order to improve Kazakhstan's position in the world market of deep grain processing products, new plants will be built, existing capacities will be modernized, and the range of products with high added value will be expanded over the next 10 years.

"Of the 12 million tons of wheat produced, about 7 million tons are exported annually, of which about 4.5-5 million tons are processed. Deep processing products amount to about 250 thousand tons. A pool of investment projects has already been formed to develop this area within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Agricultural Processing for 2024-2028," the Ministry of Agriculture said.

As specified, in the next three years, it is planned to launch three large projects with investments of more than 560 million US dollars. Among them is the largest plant "Qostanai Grain Industry", which will produce 415 thousand tons of lysine, gluten, bioethanol and carbon dioxide.

The Turkish company Tiryaki Agro, together with the Qatari company Hassad Food, is implementing a project for deep grain processing with a capacity of 240 thousand tons per year. A project for processing corn for the production of starch products will be implemented in the Turkestan region.

At the development stage, 4 more projects for deep processing of wheat and corn with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year are at the development stage.

As APK-Inform reported, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set the task of bringing the country into the TOP-10 world exporters of deep grain processing products.

The export potential of deep grain processing products from Kazakhstan reaches $ 6.1 billion, while the estimate of the potential export of primary processing products is only $ 3.7 billion.
