By the end of March, traffic on the second tracks between the Dostyk - Beskol stations will open in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Committee for Railway and Water Transport of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This route is part of the Dostyk - Moiynty project. Earlier, traffic was launched on the Balkhash - Moiynty section with a length of 127 km.
Currently, final construction work is underway on the new 166 km route. As noted, the opening of the section will increase the transit potential of transportation.
The full completion of the Dostyk - Moiynty railway project with a total length of 836 km is planned for mid-2025. As a result, the capacity of the route is expected to increase 5 times.
