
Kazakhstani railway carrier of agricultural cargo Astyk Trans has concluded a number of agreements with grain terminals in the Baltic Sea ports. The company intends to launch multimodal transportation of agricultural products, the APK News agency reports.
“As part of business diversification, Astyk Trans JSC has concluded a number of agreements with grain terminals in the Baltic Sea ports. In this regard, we announce the launch of multimodal transportation of Kazakhstani crop products through the Baltic Sea ports, with the provision of rail transportation, transshipment and sea freight services,” the company’s press service reported.
It is noted that the transportation will be carried out as part of routes and group shipments.
Astyk Trans Joint Stock Company is a Kazakhstani enterprise specializing in the rail transportation of grain and other agricultural goods in its own, leased and attracted fleet of wagons.
