In 2024, Kazakhstan produced 1,088 grain harvesters, which is 3.2% more than the year before. The production of other types of agricultural machinery also increased, the press service of the Bureau of National Statistics reported.
In particular, Kazakhstani manufacturers produced 6,421 tractors, which is 18.9% higher than the same period last year (5,402 tractors).
In general, mechanical engineering in Kazakhstan increased by 9.7%. In 2024, there were 320 enterprises operating in this area in the country.
Recall that according to the QazIndustry Center, three new production facilities in the agricultural machinery sector with a total value of 5.7 billion tenge began operating in Kazakhstan in 2024. The enterprises produce self-propelled agricultural machinery, trailed and mounted equipment, irrigation equipment, deep rippers and other equipment.
Five projects worth 18.4 billion tenge are at the implementation stage. It is planned to produce combines, tractors, heavy harrows, grain trucks, etc. Most of the manufactured products will be sent to the domestic market.
