According to the State Trading Company of Iran (Moba), against the background of an increase in gross harvest, Iran has reduced wheat imports by two million tons.
In particular, the IRNA agency, referring to the data of the state-owned company, reports: over the last 9 months of 2021-22 MG, the country imported 3 million 241 thousand tons of wheat, whereas for the same period of the previous season - 5 million 29 thousand tons.
Iran receives an average of 200 thousand tons of imported wheat every month.
It should be noted that in addition to the high harvest, Iran's grain imports are being held back due to problems with payments.
