
Against the backdrop of rising prices in Russia, they increase the cost of wheat purchased as part of commodity interventions 2022-23

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia posted on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts a draft order providing for a new marginal cost of grain purchased as part of commodity interventions in 2022-2023 due to rising prices.
Prices will be valid from July 31, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia approved the marginal grain prices, upon reaching which purchase and commodity interventions will be carried out in MY 2022-23.
According to the document, purchasing interventions (purchases to the state intervention fund) in the grain market will be carried out when prices reach:
- soft wheat of the 3rd class at 17 thousand 380 rubles/ton with VAT, 15 thousand 800 rubles/ton without VAT;
- soft wheat of the 4th class - 16 thousand 610 with VAT and 15 thousand 100 rubles per ton without VAT;
- barley - 14 thousand 300 rubles/ton with VAT and 13 thousand rubles/ton without VAT.
For commodity interventions (sales from the state intervention fund), marginal prices are set at the level of:
- soft wheat of the 3rd class 15 thousand 840 rubles/ton with VAT, 14 thousand 400 rubles/ton without VAT;
- soft wheat of the 4th class - 15 thousand 70 rubles/ton with VAT and 13 thousand 700 rubles/ton without VAT;
- barley - 12 thousand 980 rubles/ton with VAT and 11 thousand 800 rubles/ton without VAT.
