Kazakhstan earned over $526 million on flour exports

Supplies of wheat flour to the external market brought Kazakhstan $526.4 million in the last agricultural season (September 2023-August 2024). The largest buyer was Afghanistan, which bought Kazakh flour for $336 million.
The top 5 sales markets were as follows:
1) Afghanistan $336 million
2) Uzbekistan $143 million
3) Tajikistan $18.4 million
4) Turkmenistan $12.6 million
5) Russia $7.9 million
Flour was also sold to Kyrgyzstan ($6.2 million), China ($2.2 million), Iraq ($0.1 million).
For comparison, in the 2022/23 season, Kazakhstan exported wheat flour for $700.7 million. The main sales market was also Afghanistan, where flour went for $472.1 million.
